S 7 ep 3 & 4

Howdy Y'all! Just kidding, I'm not a cowboy, but I DID buy a bolo tie this week so that's sick. Something to remember my time in Buckeye by! My P-day also got moved to Halloween this week, and it's a full day P-day so it's super awesome. A great opportunity to relax and recover. Hmm, let's see, where to start.

Overall this area is pretty awesome! Plenty of work to do and really awesome members who are very supportive and very engaged in the work. We find lots of people and we also teach lots of people but no one really... progresses🤣but hey, that's OK! We're doing our part and that's all that matters. Whether I baptize 20 people or find 1000 people or plant thousands of seeds it doesn't matter! As long as I do my best.

We had interviews with President this week and they were great. It was pretty cool, my whole interview we just talked about the work. Specifically member work and I've given some trainings in my district councils about it and I'm pretty excited to see what happens in the next little while with the Goodyear district, it's going to pop off!

Our On date, Amanda gave us a pretty big scare last Sunday, when our super sweet member went to pick her up for Church she told her that Joseph Smith wasn't a true prophet of God and that he hated black people and didn't believe they could go to heaven and didn't come to church. So we went over a few days later and explained a few things and she was like "Oh, I'm so sorry I owe you an apology. Everyone makes mistakes, we can move forward with the baptism"😂She is super sweet but definitely has obstacles. I do believe in miracles, and I know God will take care of it in his own way!

I've had a few opportunities to go back out to Buckeye and Tonopah (my old area) and it was a ton of fun to see the booneys and desert landscape again. We actually have a lot of YSA's that live out there and it's pretty fun to serve with them!

Last night (Halloween eve) was a bit wild. My companion Elder de Jonge sleep walked for the first time in his life last night and it was actually terrifying. He was playing Peek-a-boo with one of the other Elders at like 3 am and when he came back in he woke me up, and he walked past me and just stared at another Elder, standing next to his bed for like 10 minutes. Then got back in his bed and went to sleep. The whole time he had like ragged breathing. It was kinda terrifying but pretty funny in the morning 😂

We went golfing with our roommates today and it was a ton of fun. I didn't shoot very well but it was really good to be out on the greens again and the weather out here is finally perfect again 👌🙌

Mission life continues to just push forward out here in the APM! This transfer is almost over and then I'll have 1 more before my year mark. Crazy!

Something I'm gonna start studying is what it means to have a "mighty change of heart" and how one can achieve that. To become more fully devoted and converted to Jesus Christ and his Gospel. To strive in all you do to follow him and give up your will for God's. Our whole purpose on this earth at the end of the day is to change, to become a better person than you were yesterday. Jesus loves you!!

Love,

Elder Cozzens

(Also I bought a dope bolo tie last night)
