525,600 minutes, 365 days, 52 weeks, 1 year

January 22, 2024

The day has finally come. I hit my 1 year mark, and am officially halfway through my mission. Not today though, that's tomorrow 😂🤭 I still can't believe how fast it has gone by... And I've heard that from here out it only goes by faster. I'm already more than halfway in my 9th transfer, and I only have 7 more after that. Wild!

Anyways, time aside, it was a great week! We had a lot of success with finding and teaching this week, but we have a hard time getting our friends to come to church. It's kind of a trend in the district, we find lots of people, teach lots, but no one comes to church. But our friend Kyle did! He wants to get baptized so bad, and that day will come but he needs to work through a few things first. He is really cool! We meet with him twice a week and he has made so much progress. His Heavenly Father is so proud of everything that he has done. We have a friend on date, his name is Justin, and he's 11. We need to befriend his mom and then everything should go through for him, so that's sweet.

This week I had 2 exchanges with Elders in my district, Elder Mikesell, who has been out for a few weeks and Elder Mauger, who has been out for about 6 months. Both of them went really well, and we saw some awesome miracles. On Tuesday, on my exchange with Elder Mikesell, I actually got to see my older brother Broc! He was in Phoenix for work, and we got permission to meet up. It was weird but really really cool and such a special opportunity. It felt like I hadn't even been gone for a day! We just picked up right where we left off a year ago😂I love him and my family so much. 🥰I'm so grateful for the influence that they have and have had in my life. Wouldn't be here without them!

Anyways, life will continue here in the mission, and I'm excited to see what this 2nd year in my mission has in store for me. What lessons I need to learn, people to help and friends to baptize. Only one way to find out!

I've been deep diving into the Atonement for the last 4ish months, and it has been incredible. I have learned so much, and I am excited to learn more. I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned it, but one book that has changed a lot for me is the Infinite Atonement by Tad R. McAllister. It just breaks up every single piece of the Atonement and helps you understand. The love, the sacrifice, the suffering, the knowledge, the power, and so much more that Christ obtained, went through, and endured for each and every one of us.

He is the light,
