Transfer News!

S6 ep 5 & 6

Well here we are, and transfer number 6 is now over. Kind of crazy to believe but regardless, it is! A solid amount has happened since I last wrote, first off we had a baptism! We've been teaching Maggie for about a month now and she got baptized over conference weekend! I'm happy I got to see her growth, and I'm excited to see what the rest of the mission holds.

Like so much has happened, I don't even know where to start 😂 On an exchange I was driving out in the middle of the desert and out of nowhere my left rear tire lost all its air in about 10 seconds, so I pulled over and it was completely flat. So I got down in the dirt in my nice Pros gear and proceeded to chuck the flat on. After I got the tire off I saw that there was a pretty big gash and a big chunk of wood imbedded in the tire. Yeah, it was toast haha. This guy we had taught just before had a ton of trash all over his property, so we figured we drove over something there.

We have consistently had 4-5 of our friends at church each week for the past month or so, and several of them are very close to being ready for a baptismal date which is really exciting! I have been on a lot of exchanges. I'm a DL over 6 Elders, so I have to do a lot of those, and they have all been great!

We had the opportunity to drive out to the Outer Rim of our area again to visit the Abrams, they live an hour and a half west, in the real booneys (boonies?) It was good to see them again and a healthy reminder of how strange my area is hahaha. That however, will be coming to an end. Kind of...

We got transfer news last night, and I'm being transferred! Not very far though. I will be going to the Cottonflower YSA/Goodyear area, which is about 20 minutes east, and in the same zone. But I will actually still be over the exact same area that I am now, but now I'm over the YSA here! So my area has now just gotten bigger. I will continue to be a District Leader over the Goodyear district, and I will be trainer breaking another Elder. I have loved and cherished my time out here in Buckeye, but I'm excited to go experience a YSA ward!

It was incredible being able to listen to conference this weekend, and I got to watch it with family! In case you don't remember I have direct relatives with the last name Cozzens out here, and I watched a session with them. As did everyone else, I loved President Nelson's invitation to Think Celestial. I will definitely be applying this in my everyday life.

Something I want to share is how there is always something to be learned in every situation. I invite you all to look for it! What does God want you to learn? To change? To grow? Ask him all of those questions, and then do it! Even if it is something that is terribly hard or inconvenient or anything, just trust God and do it. I testify that Jesus is the Christ and every little thing will be ok if you just look to him.

Sorry if this email seemed scatterbrained or all over the place, I've got a lot going on as always!

Love you all,

Elder Cozzens
