S4 ep 2

How's It going everyone? Life out here is pretty simple! It's a good simple. Even though I'm technically still in my third transfer I'm already almost 2 weeks into my 4th transfer because of the mission change. Time is definitely flying, it's crazy๐Ÿ˜‚

This was a pretty awesome week. First off, we had zone conference, and the topic was joy! At the end of zone conference on Friday we watched the concluding session as a district which was awesome. It was really fun to see and meet all the missionaries that are from the APM, and I'm excited to become one mission with them. It feels like we're in a little bit of a stall at the moment with work, but it is progressing. We're working to help our friends progress, it's just hard to set up lessons with them but it's going.

We find new people all the time but it's hard to find committed new people. I know the Lord will bless us with those that are ready to progress one day though!

We had some service for an old member who was definitely a bit wack but he's sweet. His house is a bit terrifying though. He's missing most of his roof, and there are brown recluses EVERYWHERE. Like EVERYWHERE. Luckily no one got bit but it was still a bit sketchy๐Ÿ˜‚

Being a district leader and a trainer is a lot of fun, but definitely a bit stressful at times. Not really though. It really helps to recognize growth opportunities which is awesome and it's great to get excuses to talk with the missionaries and counsel with them about their areas and mentalities! They are all super awesome, and I'm super grateful to be serving with them.

Speaking on the topic of joy, something President Eyre says all the time is this, "There is joy in the work. Recognize it, and claim it." There is so much joy in life and in all things that you do. But something I've learned is that lots of things make me happy. Sports, video games, skiing etc. But joy? True and everlasting joy only comes from Christ, and specifically his Atonement. His Atonement is the fruit. I invite you all to come partake of the fruit. And when you do, to stay there and continue to partake. Don't get ashamed of what some stupid people say or think. The fruit is what brings joy. True joy. I invite you all to go study 1 Nephi 8, and to be the people that make it to the tree, partake of the fruit, and stay at the tree to keep finding joy.

 Claim joy!
