S4 ep 3 & 4

Hey Everyone! Sorry I didn't email last week. It was a really busy P day, and I just didn't get around to it! But I'm working to send them earlier in the day like I used to. These 2 weeks have flown by. It's crazy. There are days where I'm like " Man, I've got so long to go" and others where it's like "I can't believe it's already been 5 months and I only have 2.5 weeks left in my 4th transfer." Time is so weird on the mission!πŸ˜‚ But I truly and utterly love it out here. I know that this is exactly where the Lord needs me right now.

Recently, I have created a really good friendship with some inactive members that live in the same complex as us! They are young and have been married for 3.5 years, and I'll call one of them T, he is so cool. He plays basketball with us (he's cracked) and we've introduced him to some people in the ward, and he's made some great friends. Some of which are the Campbell's, who we are teaching,  and they are helping each other. T even came to church with us without an invitation on Sunday! He is really really cool. I feel like we would've been really good friends in high school. Maybe after the mission!

I've definitely had amazing experiences in the last couple weeks. We had a day where if something could go wrong, it went wrong. That night, I made a comment, "Luckily our bikes haven't had any issues." Ha. I should've held my tongue. Next morning we find a massive thorn in Elder Deniger's tire. Next day I get a massive thorn in my tire. We've had broken phones, we broke a borrowed ratchet, broke it even more, which then let us fix it before we gave it back. That was really funny. Adventures trying to take our bunk beds apart. (Very unsuccessfully at firstπŸ˜‚it was a good time) I had exchanges with the ZL's, and I went with Elder Barraza. He is super super cool and a great missionary. I love him a ton, and I'm glad I got to serve with him. The YSA sisters and us take turns making lunches for each other every Sunday so that has been awesome.

We've seen some huge improvements in the ward the last couple of weeks too. The younger people have started organizing basketball on Saturday mornings which we go to with our friends, and it is a ton of fun. I've gotten much better, and it's definitely funner when you're 6'5πŸ˜‚ What's even better is that the members are much more eager to assist in the work which is a game changer.

As a zone, we are killing the goals we set at the beginning of the transfer so that is sweet! We don't have anyone on date yet, but we have several people who are very close to baptism! So the work is definitely progressing here in Mountain Shadows. Chances are I get transferred in a few weeks. This is my 4th transfer here so it's about time to move on! You never know what will happen at transfers though so we will have to see!

We also get our new mission president this Thursday or Friday so that will be exciting. We spent last P day at a super rich members house, which was a BLAST. It felt like I was back in Mexico for a bit hahaha.

In accordance to the new PMG (Preach My Gospel) that just released, I want to talk about Christlike Attributes! They added a new one: Integrity! I have been reading in this chapter and it is incredible. It goes to show that as you strive to be more like Christ that literally everything else in your life will just fall into place. EVERYTHING.

So I would invite you all to study that in the new PMG and to pick an Attribute of Christ to develop and improve on!

 Feel free to write me!

 Elder Cozzens
